Jacques Vergès, attorney at law

To: Mr. François Scheer, French ambassador in Germany

Date: November 2, 1998

Mr. Ambassador:

On October 9, 1998, Mr Hammer sent you a letter regarding the imprisonment of Mr. Khosrow, an Iranian political asylum in France.

On October 21, 1998 you sent a letter to Mr. Hammer and explained to him that there was no need to worry about Mr. Khosrow's health, because on the contrary to the existing rumor he is not on a hunger strike.

I am sorry that as Mr. Khosrow's attorney, I have to inform you of the following important points:

1. Mr. Khosrow is under hunger strike since his arrest on September 18, 1998 and his health condition is in the critical level.

2. The fact is you have given some false information and this in turn shows how baseless Mr. Khosrow's imprisonment is by French authorities.

With the best regards,

Jacques Vergès
